Posting Schedule

     We can go back and forth about when the best time is to make a wager for the weekends NFL games. I know there are so-called handicappers out there that like to bet as early as Monday or Tuesday. To TopBoss, this don't make no sense. First of all, we need to see how practices go. We need to know who practiced and who didn't. Based on the practices, each coach must submit his injury report. We don't usually get those til' Thursday. Then, and very importantly, we need the weather reports. You can't know on Tuesday what the weather's gonna be on Sunday. Finally, we need to know where the money's goin'. Yes there are pros and cons to betting late. The biggest thing against it is that the lines move so much from Monday to Sunday. But then again, they sometimes move in our favor. TopBoss has been doin' this a long time, and betting late is far better than betting early. So that's how we do it here. Now, that being said, and in case you didn't already know TopBoss will post the week's picks sometime around midnight on Fridays. In a perfect world, you should check with TopBoss and then make your bets on Saturday mornings 'cause the lines really start to move around noon time. Then check with TopBoss Saturday nights and again Sunday mornings for updates or some late info.
     Finally, TopBoss wants to touch on betting strategy. My advice to you is that you follow the strategy that TopBoss has put forth. That is, bet the percentage of your bankroll that is recommended. It is designed to minimize your losses. If you've followed TopBoss for awhile, you've noticed that when we lose, it's usually somewhere around breaking even and when we win, it's sometimes significant. It's better to be patient, disciplined and conservative. Now I understand that there are those of you who would prefer to be a bit more aggressive. That's fine. While TopBoss wagers the entire weekend (Sun, and Mon.) as one segment, you may wager up to 4 segments if you wish. For instance, when applicable, you might bet 33% of your bankroll on the morning games, 33% in the afternoon, 33% on Sunday night and 33% on Monday night.Obviously when you add aggression, you add risk. So long as you know that going in.
     Just a few more things. Number 1.) You can tell how much TopBoss likes a game by the recommended percentages. We don't need to do no fancy-schmancy star system here. 2.) it's not a bad idea to wager online. It's obviously quicker and more convenient. Also, it's an even better idea to have 2 to 4 different online betting sites. Therefore one can choose the best lines and odds. 3.) While TopBoss usually will give a parlay, please note that they are not meant to be bet strongly. Any parlay is difficult to hit so keep them around 1% of your bankroll.
